At least Brazil still has Seu Jorge
Brazil got knocked out of the World Cup by France this weekend — definitely an upset. I’m a fan of soccer/football, although it’s difficuly when you only see a half dozen games a year on network tv (no cable or satellite for me). What struck me the most about this match was the speed. The commentators for England’s loss to Portugal commented on the pace of the game, but I didn’t really know what they meant until after seeing Brazil v France.
Anyway, this wasn’t supposed to be a post about football but rather about the Seu Jorge concert Kate and I went to last week. Sure I can’t understand what the songs are about unless he sings those David Bowie covers, but this guy (and his band) puts me at a loss for words to describe his performance.
