Writing New Media — Day 10

Okay. I missed posting for the last couple days, but we’ve mainly been working on our final projects. Mine, as mentioned before is a homepage for the course I’m teaching in the fall, UW’s Comm B course, English 201. So I finished the page just minutes ago (it doesn’t have all the links because I still need to make the site). It’s been designed for a 1024x768 screen, so, hopefully, it looks alright. Take a look and let me know what you think: EN 201 Homepage

  1. Fabulous! Can you make the plug move into the outlet? I would love to see it when you are finished with the whole site - I’ll probably have more to say then.

I’ve been thinking about your work and your project while reading for Reading Information Studies - http://readinginformationstudies.blogspot.com/

The site is quiet right now b/c ALA’s big conference is this weekend. But I am getting ready to post my overall thoughts about The Access Principle over on my blog pretty soon.

Maybe the comp-rhet reading group could have a blog. Then those of us who can’t attend could still participate.

  2. Did you take down the site? It didn’t work for me. My job this summer puts me in front of a computer for 20 hours a week, so I started up a Blog. Do I need a secret code word to join the club?

  3. It works for me in Firefox and Explorer. You may not have the shockwave player installed: http://sdc.shockwave.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?
